About Our Na Pali Raft Tours
Rafting Na Pali Coast is one of the most exhilarating ways to experience Kauai’s raw, untouched beauty. Our custom 24' rigid-hull zodiacs are engineered for speed, stability, and maneuverability, allowing you to explore the coastline at water level — and, when conditions allow, dart in and out of sea caves along the way. This is the closest, most immersive way to see Na Pali — a fast-paced adventure designed for guests who want more than a sightseeing cruise.
Unlike larger vessels, rafts respond instantly to the captain’s steering. You’ll skim across the surface, carve through open ocean, and hug the base of towering cliffs that rise more than 3,500 feet above the water. It’s an intimate, high-energy experience that brings you face-to-face with the coastline’s dramatic geology, remote valleys, and wildlife-rich waters.
Why Choose a Zodiac Raft Over a Catamaran?
Catamarans are built for comfort and stability. Zodiacs are built for access. Our custom 24' rigid-hull rafts sit low to the water, move fast, and reach places no catamaran can — into Na Pali's sea caves, alongside sheer sea cliffs, and onto remote beaches only reachable by small vessel. You'll feel the spray, the wind, and the rhythm of the Pacific in a way that's impossible from the deck of a larger boat.
For guests who want the most dynamic, immersive way to experience Na Pali — rather than observe it from a distance — a zodiac raft tour is the only way to do it.
Zodiac Snorkel Tours Kauai
Most raft tours include a snorkeling stop at a protected reef or alternate south-shore site when Na Pali conditions are rough. Our crew provides high-quality gear, flotation, and guidance for all experience levels. Depending on the day, you may encounter tropical reef fish, sea turtles, and other marine life in clear, calm water.
Snorkeling locations vary based on ocean conditions. Our captains choose the safest and clearest spot available each day to ensure the best possible experience.
Dolphins, Turtles & Whales on Kauai Zodiac Tours
The waters surrounding Na Pali are home to spinner dolphins, Hawaiian green sea turtles, seabirds, and — during winter — migrating humpback whales. Rafts offer an exceptional vantage point for wildlife viewing, placing you just a few feet above the surface. Our captains know where animals tend to gather and how to approach respectfully, creating memorable encounters without disturbing their natural behavior.
Who Raft Tours Are Best For
Raft tours are ideal for guests who want a fast, adventurous, and physically engaging experience. You’ll sit side-saddle on the inflatable tubes, hold on during bouncy sections, and embrace the thrill of being close to the water. If you enjoy speed, exploration, and a bit of adrenaline, rafting is the perfect way to see Na Pali.
Because of the physical nature of the ride, we cannot accommodate pregnant guests, children under six, or anyone with back, neck, or mobility issues. For a smoother, more relaxed experience with shade and restrooms, our catamarans are an excellent alternative.
Route & Conditions
Our captains have decades of experience navigating Kauai’s coastline. They read swell patterns, wind shifts, and surf behavior in real time, ensuring a safe and enjoyable journey. Their knowledge of Na Pali’s history, geology, and marine life adds depth to the adventure, turning every trip into a story worth telling.
Our goal is always to explore Na Pali Coast. However, ocean conditions change daily. When Na Pali experiences strong swell or low visibility, our captains may divert south to Kipu Kai and calmer waters for snorkeling and sightseeing. This flexibility ensures the safest and most enjoyable experience for every guest.
No matter the route, raft tours deliver adventure, scenery, and wildlife encounters that make every trip unforgettable.
